After our discussion with you

about the desirability of setting up a

small committee to consider the future

of the Hong Kong University, we have had

discussions with various other people,

as a result of which it is now proposed

that the scope of the committee should

be extended to include the arrangements

for the resumption of the activities of

the various Higher Educational Institu-
